Commissioned for the Contarelli Chapel in Rome, Caravaggio's 1602 altarpiece shows the moment of divine inspiration: an angel leans close to Matthew, guiding his hand as he writes the Gospel. But Caravaggio being Caravaggio, there is nothing pious or remote about it — Matthew is a rough, working man, feet bare, brow furrowed, and the angel touches him with the physical tenderness of someone delivering urgent news.

The painting

The scene's drama — deep shadow, sudden light, two figures locked in an impossible intimacy — wraps your iPhone in full-coverage, high-density print. A daily encounter with one of Rome's great Baroque masterpieces.

Features
  • Clean with a soft damp cotton or microfibre cloth (add a drop of dish soap if needed).
Care

Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh solvents or abrasive cleaners, which can dull the print over time.

Shipping and timing

Each case is printed to order, so please allow 2–4 business days for production. Shipping typically takes 3–7 business days within the EU and UK, and 5–10 business days to the US.

We currently ship across the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Returns

Since every case is printed specifically for your order, we can only accept returns for manufacturing defects or shipping damage. Contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos and we'll arrange a replacement or refund.

Parfait pour offrir

Je l'ai achetée en cadeau et j'ai failli la garder pour moi. 'The Inspiration of Saint Matthew' rend superbement sur la coque, presque comme un petit tableau encadré.

Bonita y resistente

Buen agarre, buena protección y el diseño no se pela como otras fundas que he tenido. 'The Inspiration of Saint Matthew' se ve incluso mejor en persona que en las fotos.

Davvero splendida

Già la confezione dava un'idea di qualità, e la cover l'ha confermata. 'The Inspiration of Saint Matthew' è stampata con molta nitidezza, nessun bordo sfocato.

Better than the photos

I bought this as a gift and honestly considered keeping it for myself. 'The Inspiration of Saint Matthew' looks incredible on the case, almost like a tiny framed painting. Shipping was faster than expected too.

Worth every penny

Exactly what I was hoping for — a iPhone case that actually looks like the painting, not a washed-out reproduction. Buttons and ports all line up perfectly too.

Better than the photos

Ordered this on a whim and I'm genuinely impressed. It's sturdy, the print is gorgeous, and it arrived well packaged with no scratches.

Beautiful and sturdy

Didn't expect a phone case to feel this special. The artwork wraps around the edges nicely and hasn't faded or scratched after a couple of months of daily use.

La adoro

Buona presa, buona protezione, e il disegno non si scrosta come altre cover economiche. 'The Inspiration of Saint Matthew' è ancora più bella dal vivo.

Makes a good gift

A painting they already love, on the object they never put down. Not sure of their iPhone? Ask them what they've got, not which case they'd like.
