Painted as a companion to the portrait of his bride Oopjen Coppit, Rembrandt's 1634 portrait of Maerten Soolmans is the other half of the most expensive Old Master commission of the 21st century. Maerten stands full-length, dressed in black with white lace, his pose relaxed but his presence unmistakable — a young Amsterdam merchant at the height of the Dutch Golden Age, painted by its greatest artist on the day of his wedding.

The painting

Collected together by the Rijksmuseum and the Louvre for €160 million, the pair are now inseparable. This portrait — confident, precise, quietly magnificent — wraps your iPhone in full-coverage, high-density 3D print. The perfect companion piece.

Features
  • Clean with a soft damp cotton or microfibre cloth (add a drop of dish soap if needed).
Care

Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh solvents or abrasive cleaners, which can dull the print over time.

Shipping and timing

Each case is printed to order, so please allow 2–4 business days for production. Shipping typically takes 3–7 business days within the EU and UK, and 5–10 business days to the US.

We currently ship across the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Returns

Since every case is printed specifically for your order, we can only accept returns for manufacturing defects or shipping damage. Contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos and we'll arrange a replacement or refund.

Museum quality

The print quality on this Samsung case blew me away — the colours from 'Portrait of Maerten Soolmans' really pop and the detail is razor sharp. Fits my phone perfectly and the edges are raised just enough to protect the screen.

Molto soddisfatta

Buona presa, buona protezione, e il disegno non si scrosta come altre cover economiche. 'Portrait of Maerten Soolmans' è ancora più bella dal vivo.

Przeszlo moje oczekiwania

Telefon upadl juz dwa razy, a etui idealnie go ochronilo. Do tego telefon wyglada jak dzielo sztuki, a nie zwykle etui.

Museum quality

I've dropped my phone twice already and the case has held up perfectly. Bonus points for making my phone look like a piece of art rather than just another black case.

Worth every penny

Great grip, great protection, and the design doesn't chip off like cheaper cases I've had before. 'Portrait of Maerten Soolmans' looks even better in person than in the product photos.

Tolles Geschenk

Makes a good gift

A painting they already love, on the object they never put down. Not sure of their iPhone? Ask them what they've got, not which case they'd like.
