Ships to the EU, UK & US

Willem van der Velde the Younger was the greatest marine painter of the Dutch Golden Age, and this 1686 canvas is a showcase of everything he could do: a 90-gun warship riding at anchor on the IJ before Amsterdam, sails partially furled, pennants streaming, the city a haze on the horizon. Light moves across the water in the way only Van der Velde could render it — silver and gold, perfectly observed.

The painting

The Golden Lion in all its rigging and reflected light wraps your iPhone in full-coverage, high-density 3D print. The panoramic scale of the original compressed into a case that rewards a close look — for those who love the sea, Dutch history, and paint applied with absolute mastery.

Features
  • Clean with a soft damp cotton or microfibre cloth (add a drop of dish soap if needed).
Care

Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh solvents or abrasive cleaners, which can dull the print over time.

Shipping and timing

Each case is printed to order, so please allow 2–4 business days for production. Shipping typically takes 3–7 business days within the EU and UK, and 5–10 business days to the US.

We currently ship across the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Returns

Since every case is printed specifically for your order, we can only accept returns for manufacturing defects or shipping damage. Contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos and we'll arrange a replacement or refund.

Better than the photos

Exceeded my expectations

Didn't expect a phone case to feel this special. The artwork wraps around the edges nicely and hasn't faded or scratched after a couple of months of daily use.

Perfect fit, gorgeous print

The packaging alone felt luxurious, and the case itself matched that quality. 'The “Golden Lion” on the IJ by Amsterdam' is printed crisp and vibrant, no blurry edges at all.

Makes a good gift

A painting they already love, on the object they never put down. Not sure of their iPhone? Ask them what they've got, not which case they'd like.
