Painted in 1579 — just months before William of Orange would sign the Union of Utrecht, laying the legal foundation for the Dutch Republic — this portrait captures the man at the height of his defiance. Adriaen Thomasz Key painted him with quiet authority: sober dress, direct gaze, the bearing of someone who had already decided to risk everything for an idea. He would be assassinated five years later, the first European head of state killed with a handgun.

Returns

Since every case is printed specifically for your order, we can only accept returns for manufacturing defects or shipping damage. Contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos and we'll arrange a replacement or refund.
